Aisling Cliodhnadh was born the 16th of March, 1984 in Kildare Town, County Kildare. The father of Bea was Brian was a veterinarian who worked with horses that committed suicide aged three. However, she was not aware of the cause of death until she was 13 years old. The stage name Bea was in tribute to her father. She published an opinion piece in The Guardian, published in 2017 on her journey of suicide. Bea's mom Helen, who is also an instructor for jockeys and a former professional jockey was in charge of taking care of her as well as Sinead. The family was obsessed with race meetings as well as horses. Bea had a job as a tour guide at the Irish National Stud. From a very young age, Bea knew that she was not interested in racing as a career. She was more interested in the artistic arts.
